11 new Netflix series airing in 2025 that are worth watching

Pete Berg, Taylor Kitsch and Eric Newman teamed up after their good fortune on Netflix’s Painkiller for what they all described as the most complicated project of their careers. The cast and crew braved incredibly tough situations in the mountains of New Mexico for thirteen months to film this six-episode limited series, premiering January 9. In an interview, Berg said he was “in a wild state” while filming this story about a violent America in 1857, where natives, Mormons and pioneers fought and died to stay and their lands. In this thrilling and terrifying new six-episode limited series, a beloved and highly respected former United States President leads the investigation into a nationwide cyber attack while battling his demons. This show from American Primeval’s Eric Newman explores how we find truth in a world in crisis. In an era rife with conspiracy theories and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps our imagining? This thriller starring Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Dan Stevens, and Matthew Modine premieres on February 20.

This mystery revolves around 132 rooms, 157 suspects, a dead body, a wildly eccentric detective, and a disastrous state dinner. This zany mystery takes place on the top, bottom and back floors of the White House, one of the eclectic parts of the world’s most famous mansion. Viewers will find out who did it when this series from executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers premieres on March 20. The cast includes Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Ken Marino and Randall Park.

Kate Hudson plays Isla Gordon, a woman whose life is turned upside down when a scandal forces her brother to resign from his position, and is named president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and its family business circle. Ambitious and ignored, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical siblings, the board of directors and the Giant sports network that she is the right choice for the position. This comedy of the underdog comes from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. The ten-episode series will premiere in early 2025 and stars Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, and Max Greenfield.

This drama series brings to life the epic, stranger-than-fiction story of James Garfield, the reluctant president of the United States, and his biggest admirer, Charles Guiteau, the guy who would come to kill him. This series starring Betty Gilpin, Matthew Macfadyen, Nick Offerguy, Michael Shannon, Bradley Whitford and Shea Whigham will premiere in 2025.

Set at the birth of Instagram, this story follows two young women who have to cure their life-threatening ailments through fitness and wellness, influencing their global online communities. All of this would be incredibly inspiring if it were true. This is a true story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire, the culture that built it, and the other people who destroyed it. Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Aisha Dee star in what is sure to be one of the streamer’s biggest hits of the new year.

Netflix’s first-ever procedural medical drama series follows the staff of Miami’s busiest Level 1 Trauma Center as they navigate medical emergencies as a young ER doctor named Danny Simms is unexpectedly promoted to Chief Resident amidst the fallout of her provocative romantic relationship. This ten-episode drama comes from creator, showrunner, and executive producer Zoe Robyn and showrunner and executive producer Carlton Cuse.

This dark comedy comes from Molly Smith Metzler (Maid) and stars Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Kevin Bacon. The story follows Devon (Fahy) who thinks her sister Simone (Milly Alcock) has a creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told throughout one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate, Sirens is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.

Jason Bateman and Jude Law star in this new series that follows the story of the owner of a New York City hotspot who allows his turbulent brother back into his life, thus opening the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he’s built.

This highly anticipated comedy comes to us from Tina Fey. She stars alongside Steve Carell, Colman Domingo and Will Forte in the story of three suburban couples who go on a combined vacation, but tensions rise when one of the couples separates and the husband brings a much younger wife on his next trips. . Netflix hasn’t announced a release date for this one, but it’s sure to be a hilarious escape.

This romantic comedy comes from Lena Dunham (Girls) and stars Megan Stalter, Will Sharpe, Michael Zegan, Rita Wilson, Andrew Scott, Andrew Rannells, Aylin Scott and Emily Ratajkowski. The story follows Jessica, a workaholic from New York who moves to London after a breakup. Her plans fail when she meets Felix and reconsiders her search for love.
