Palat one-timed a pass from Kucherov for the 2-0 edge.
Nick Ritchie won a five-minute primary mark to face Yanni Gourde at 6:28 to play on a play where the record obviously left Gourde.
And the Lightning opened a three-goal lead.
Lightning beat the Bruins in 12-10.
