Halloween is rarely very for a few months, but fortunately for us, the ghosts are still in season, and there are many videos to convert. Ghost videos are a special category of horror. There’s something about the paranormal that stands out from monsters, slashers and other similar subgenres. With ghost movies, the director has the complex task of running with the invisible and proving that what we can’t see is the scariest thing of all.
Why do they go to the movies en masse for movies that make us run the other way? According to Dr. Katherine Brownlowe, an assistant professor in the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at Ohio State University, having to calm down after watching a horror movie is chemically pleasing to your brain. Who knows? So let’s give those movies the credits they deserve. (After all, in the history of the Oscars, only six horror films have been nominated.)
