Last week, on the first day of the month, Netflix released a lot of new videos, adding several classic or cult videos from the 1990s. Many of them have also proven to be a hit with users, and today, Sunday, August 9, 3 of those films dominate the list of the 10 most viewed films on the site. One of them is one of the most beloved films of all time, it is its sequel and the third, as they say, will surprise you.

Yes, unsurprisingly, the first of this trio of 199 videos that goes well on Netflix this weekend is 1993’s Jurassic Park. Steven Spielberg’s thrilling prehistoric journey is the one many of us have noticed over and over again. Not that the film’s stars, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern, will also return for the next Jurassic World: Dominion.

The time of those 3 is The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997, the first sequel to the franchise. In case he confuses the installments, it’s that of Ian Malcolm of Goldblum fighting a T-Rex launched in San Diego. It was Goldblum’s last appearance in the saga for 21 years, until he repeated Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018.

The unexpected maxim of the popular films of the 1990s, however, is Dennis the Menace, the 1993 film starring the naughty boy of the time. Mason Gamble plays Dennis, with Walter Matthau as Mr. Wilson and Christopher Lloyd’s irritated neighbor as a ruthless thief whose child takes over. At the time, he was earning $117.2 million from a $35 million budget, though critics were unkind. For ex-young people in the ’90s, perhaps seeing her with her own young people, it’s obviously a nostalgic film.
