As the anime gains a growing base of foreign fans, it’s no wonder there’s a call for more content available. And it turns out that our wishes have been fulfilled as 30 Japanese anime corporations have accumulated on a newly introduced YouTube channel called AnimeLog to provide loose anime episodes for everyone.
Notable corporations such as Toei Animation (One Piece, Digimon), Tezuka Productions (Kimba The White Lion, Black Jack), Kodansha (Noragami, Akira, Cardcaptor Sakura), Nippon Animation (Hunter X Hunter), Shogakukan-Shueisha Prod. (Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Hamtaro) and Shin-Ei Animation (Doraemon, Shin-Chan Pencil) will match the percentage of their beloved titles on this platform. The channel aims to succeed in 3,000 anime titles through 2022, with a number of prospects consistent with the month of success in three hundred million.

Some anime corporations like Kadokawa and Toei Animation already have their own anime channels on YouTube. However, many believe that by joining forces, there is a greater opportunity to grow a larger audience and earn more advertising revenue. In addition, this will deter anime enthusiasts from broadcasting anime illegally on other sites.
You can subscribe to your YouTube channel and your Twitter @AnimeLogTokyo for additional updates.
Fumiko is also a fervent fan of spreading and drowning in too many fandoms. She would love to spend all day reading fanfiction at home and crying.
