Two years ago, Netflix announced ambitious plans to adapt Avatar: The Last Airmaster to an action series. Netflix has also undercover Avatar co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko to serve as showrunners on the new show. However, the series will now advance without its original creators. Through The Wrap, DiMartino revealed that he and Konietzko had left the series because of artistic differences with Netflix.

“Netflix said it pledged to honor our vision of this news and rely on the creation of the series,” DiMartino wrote on his blog. “And we expressed how excited we were at the opportunity to be in charge. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as we expected.”

DiMartino went on to say that “the live adaptation of Avatar via Netflix has the chance to be good.” This can turn out to be an exhibition that many of you end up enjoying. But what I can be sure of is that whatever edition ends up on the screen, it’s probably not what Bryan and I had planned or planned to do.

“I also need to be transparent that this doesn’t mean the end of my participation in the Avatar universe,” DiMartino added. “These stories and characters are for me and the renewed interest and enthusiasm for Avatar and Korra has been inspiring to see.”

In addition, Konietzko shared his through his Instagram account.

Well, palsArray … there you go. Great sigh. I am sure that many of you will naturally need to know more and ask me questions in the comments, here and in the following messages, live streams and meetings face to face and everywhere to infinity. I would have liked to be able to explain things in more detail, but the above is all I can say about it, so I won’t answer any of the questions. I inspire you to move on to my spouse Michael DiMartino’s account to hear your opinion on our departure: @mike_dante_d Thank you from the back of my center to all avatar enthusiasts: The Last Airbender, and I regret our participation in the Genuine Action Assignment didn’t work. It’s time to get on with my life. Back and up. Love, Bryan #avatarthelastairbender #cocreators #michaeldimatino #bryankonietzko #bryke #atla #liveactionseries #netflix
