Say goodbye to summer and say hello to new screens streaming this week on Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services, as well as streaming and cable channels.
The new television lineup is marked by the return of two very different shows: the fourth season of “Only Murders in the Building” and the second season of “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. ” You have mystery and comedy in the a. on the one hand, and a fantastic epic on the other. Also on the schedule: an Adam Sandler comedy special, a K-pop docuseries and the “Love Is Blind UK” reunion episode. Here’s our roundup of the best new TVs to watch this week.
Is love literally blind? Well, that’s for 3 of the six couples who made it out of the capsules in the British edition of the hit Netflix reality series. Six couples got engaged in Season 1, but only three actually said “I do” in last week’s wedding episodes: Sabrina and Steven, Nicole and Benaiah, and Jasmine and Bobby. Now they all return in combination for an update. Did Freddie and Cat stay together even though he rejected her at the altar? What about Ollie and Demi or Tom and Maria? And how are the bride and groom? We’ll have all the tea in the reunion episode.

Ah, year, murder, same building. The hit comedy mystery returns with a new case to solve. In the Season 3 finale, Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles, and Oliver (Martin Short) returned to Arconia after the premiere of Oliver’s play. on Broadway and I stumbled upon the corpse of Charles’ stunt double, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). But were Sazz or Charles the intended victim? The trio’s investigation leads them to Hollywood, where their podcast is being adapted into a movie, and then back to Arconia. Season four is as star-studded as usual, with Meryl Streep reprising her role as Loretta and additions such as Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zack Galifianakis, and Kumail Nanjiani.

The partnership between Adam Sandler and Netflix has been a success and seems mutually beneficial. Say what you need about the quality of some projects, but others like “Hustle” and “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” are really good. “Love You” is less of a stand-up act and more of a variety special. Sandler cracks jokes, sings, plays guitar, and sometimes jokes. You know, I’m just Adam Sandler. Si that’s what appeals to you, enjoy this special, directed by “Uncut Gems” co-director Josh Safdie.

Evil is about to take over Middle-earth in the second season of Amazon’s ambitious series “The Lord of the Rings. “Sauron (Charlie Vickers) has returned and the Dark Lord is raising an army of orcs, but he has even more nefarious plans in the works. Posing as an elf named Annatar, he convinces Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) to make the Rings of Power, which Sauron intends to use to take over Middle-earth. As chaos descends upon the land, Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and Elrond (Robert Aramayo) lead the efforts of elves, dwarves, men, wizards, and Harfoots to combat Sauron and his army.

Over the course of six episodes, enthusiasts will get an intimate glimpse into the intense lives of K-pop sensations Jessi, CRAVITY and BLACKSWAN. As Jessi embarks on her first solo tour, she struggles with the strain of success. CRAVITY, a member of the boy band, takes grueling dance and songwriting classes to impress his agency. And the foreign women’s organization BLACKSWAN faces internal tensions even as they face racism and intimidation from outsiders.
