5 New TV Shows Premiering This Week on Netflix, Prime Video, and More (January 20-26)

When the weather outside is terrible, there’s nothing better than staying warm indoors with new TV screens launching this week on Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services, as well as cable and streaming channels open.

This week is a great one for mystery fans, as it brings the return of Netflix’s “The Night Agent” and the debut of Apple’s conspiracy drama “Prime Target” and CBS’ medical mystery “Watson. ” Also, watch the latest season of the female series. Apple adds a few other mystery series to a list that includes “Severance,” “Slow Horses,” “Bad Sisters,” “Disclaimer” and “Hijack. ” The conspiracy is afoot in “Prime Target,” starring Leo Woodall as Edward Brooks, a brilliant young math graduate. You’re about to make a breakthrough: finding a type of prime numbers that will give you the key to all the computers in the world. But soon, Edward realizes that an unseen enemy seeks to destroy his concept before it gets off the ground. He teams up with NSA agent Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell) to get to the bottom of the treacherous plot against him. ► Episodes 1 and 2 premiere Wednesday, January 22 at midnight ET on Apple TV Plus

This under-the-radar comedy returns for a third and final season of new career developments, romantic travails and other life challenges for the four Black female friends in the titular New York City neighborhood. Big changes are coming for Camille (Meagan Good), Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), Tye (Jerrie Johnson and Quinn (Grace Byers). Angie lands a role in “Girls Trip: The Musical,” while Tye and Quinn have new loves interests. Netflix’s hit action mystery returns with a new high-octane project for FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso). After saving the president in Season 1, Peter was promoted through the secret organization Night Action to Night Agent. This time, he’s on the hunt for a CIA mole who’s leaking the government’s biggest secrets. Fearing that Night Action has been compromised, Peter is forced to go through a rogue to track down the mole. Even more pressing is the discovery that the mole is collecting resources to build a bomb that will blow up Manhattan. ►The 10 episodes will premiere on Thursday, January 23 at 3 a. m. ET on Netflix.
