Meals: The Harvest Vine has been delighting diners for decades. While it’s not part of the official culinary film lineup, foodie moviegoers probably won’t want to miss the Oscar-nominated June Squibb Tribute Brunch at 10 a. m. On Saturday, May 11, at the Palace Kitchen. La meal will be followed by a verbal exchange. with the star of “Nebraska” and “About Schmidt” and Variety’s Jenelle Riley. Squibb’s new film, “Thelma,” opens the festival on May 9.
“SIFF is thrilled to celebrate June Squibb’s paintings by presenting her with the 2024 Seattle International Film Festival’s Golden Space Needle Award for outstanding achievement in film,” says Beth Barrett, artistic director of SIFF on the SIFF website. During his long career, Squibb has developed exceptional skills in his craft. Her magnetism and air of mystery shine through her many memorable roles and her paintings on Thelma are no exception.
