A radio screen that replaces the releases of ”Kimberly’Beck’

A new radio show that will fill the void created by the dismissal of “Kimberly and Beck” presenters Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck, presented Thursday on WAIO-FM (95.1), better known as Radio 95.1, according to the radio station’s Twitter account.

“The Big Show,” starring Earl David Reed, Megan Carter and Pat McMahon, airs from 2 p.m. 7 p.m. days of the week.

Reed, a comedian who has performed in clubs across the country, and added Comedy of Rochester at the Carlson, joined WQXA-FM’s iHeartMedia radio station (105.7), a station owned by Cumulus Media in York, Pennsylvania, according to an online report. Radio Insight. He also worked on air with radio 95.1 morning host Brother Wease, his time on WCMF-FM (96.5).

Carter and McMahon worked in the past for iHeartMedia, but were fired in January when the company eliminated many DJ jobs. Carter held the evenings at WKGS-FM (106.7), “KISS 106.7”, from October 2018 to January. Previously, she was music and morning exhibition director for a long time on WPXY-FM (97.9), an Entercom station.

McMahon co-organized the morning exhibition on WDVI-FM (100.5), “MIX 100.5” and WYYY-FM (94.5), “Y94” in Syracuse from 2014 to January. It produced the screen “Kimberly – Beck” when it aired on Entercom’s WBZA-FM (98.9), “The Buzz”.

Ray and Beck were fired on Radio 95.1 in early June for making racist comments on the airwaves.

In a statement released Thursday, Radio 95.1 said that on “The Big Show,” Reed, Carter and McMahon will offer their exclusive and fun perspectives on major titles, local news, pop culture and sports, as well as “the occasional dose of parenthood and dating advice.”

In a Facebook Live video made Thursday morning about his vacation in Rochester from his home in Buffalo, McMahon said he felt lucky to be part of the show.

“I haven’t been with Earl for a long time, though, the few times we’ve been together, I’ve been thinking, “Okay, this guy’s a smart guy,” he says. “He’s funny, obviously, he’s a comedian. He’s been on the radio for a long time. He’s a super fun but wonderful guy. So I’m looking ahead to run with him. I think, Rochester, I’ll like you.”

Speaking about his other co-host, McMahon said, “I’ve known Megan Carter since I started in this business… It’s great to be with a friend and someone I accept as true and who I know so well and who is just incredibly talented.”

Regarding the exhibition itself, he said it would be “open, fair and direct.” But, “We’re not going to do the series about the past, because it’s stupid. We’re not going to do that. We’ll do something about it at some point. But we’re not going to spend every single day explaining to each other and explaining, you know, why we’re here and the others aren’t. We’re just not going to do it, because that’s not how life works. Arranges… to keep moving forward.”
