Making a living on YouTube would possibly seem like a dream, but a weekend convention is helping to make it a truth for budding creators. YouTube is now a $15 billion company for Google and today, many other people want a part of that! We recently went to a weekend convention called Vlog University, which aims to teach attendees everything they want to know about creating a YouTube channel, cameras and lighting to edit. Follow KTLA tech reporter Rich DeMuro on Instagram for more generation tips and tricks. The convention featured Justine Ezarik, a well-known YouTuber with over 6 million subscribers! Justine makes a living creating videos inspired by generations.
“They think it’s this glamorous, crazy lifestyle. It’s possible, but there are also a lot of paintings at stake,” said Justine, who started making videos thirteen years ago. “The challenge for younger people is to make parents understand, “Hey, make more money than you,” said Ben Kozuch, president of Future Media Concepts. I don’t think I’m too late to start a YouTube, I think everyone has some price to go up on the internet,” said Jessica Schrody, who runs a channel called She Really Had a Baby.
Jessica loves the flexible lifestyle of entrepreneurship, but she knows it’s not easy. “It’s a lot of work, especially when you’re not very big and you don’t have the budget,” Jessica said. Joey Hall hopes to turn his private vlogs into something more serious.
“I need to succeed and meet other YouTubers, collaborate and perceive how they can produce their content, and get recommendations and concepts on how I can handle it,” Joey Hall explained. that doesn’t mean other people will come en masse to watch. For every video with a million views, many more get only a few hundred, which takes us back to Justine. “I think my biggest recommendation is to start, get it wrong, that’s fine. It’s wonderful to see where you started, and it’s even more rewarding to see where you can go,” Justine.Vlog University said, taking place in various U.S. cities. And they will also offer video streams to buy on their website.
