Actress sports dress featuring embroidered vaginas as apparent protest of restrictions to female rights

The “The Crown” and “Sex Education” star said Gabriela Hearst’s ivory dress was “appropriate for the brand” and later told People magazine that she enjoyed the floral inspiration of the dress, which was “covered in peonies. “After dressing up, embroidery took 3. 5 hours, Anderson said, Newsweek reported.

Anderson said the dress is a collaboration between her preferred wellness logo, G Spot, and fashion logo Gabriela Hearst, she told ExtraTV.

“The dress has yonis, if you need to pan it, there are so many yonis… it’s like 150 hours of embroidery,” she explained.

While she didn’t go into specifics about why she chose a vagina-themed dress, her decision to do so comes 18 months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. 

Anderson’s sartorial resolution drew praise from many, but distaste from some social media debates about X.

“I’m glad that your farmers have spent 150 hours embroidering it (whatever you want to call it) so I can make a statement,” one netizen commented.

“Ridiculous, Pathetic. A complete joke. Oh, and…NO ONE CARES,” another posted. 

“Classless and tasteless,” a third.
