“That’s right! Given the recent speculation about the Nintendo Switch and potential next-gen iterations of Nintendo, we looked forward to playing it and taking a look at the features we had before fully committing to a Nintendo Switch version,” Rabbit announced.
“But now the wait is over and we’re excited to verify that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is also coming to Nintendo Switch!”
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Kickstarter launched in 2020 and reached its initial crowdfunding goal of $3 million in just two hours. The Kickstarter page stated that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes would be released on “Nintendo’s next-gen console,” if the platform’s owner ended up releasing a successor before the game’s release.
Nintendo Switch is now in its fifth year and the question of whether a successor is in the works is up in the air lately. Nintendo said it’s looking to make the transition gracefully and avoid the same mistakes it made when switching from Wii to Wii. Wii U.
As it turns out, the progression of Hundred Heroes is progressing well and that the game will be released sometime in 2023, regardless of the prestige of the Nintendo Switch. The game will also be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox. X|S Series.
A prequel to another major game called Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising was released earlier this month. In our review, we stated, “Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising does precisely what any other smart game does. Not only does this RPG set the bar well for the upcoming Eiyden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, but it’s also a fun adventure that stands on its own merits. “
