House of the Dragon season 2 featured the long-awaited “Blood and Cheese” incident, and while those who read the e-books thought the audience would be shocked, they didn’t expect why. To be fair, the editing of the book is much more graphic, but even then, the murder of the young prince Jaehaerys generated less reaction than Cheese for kicking the consulting dog. In the midst of the protest, Cheese actor Mark Stobbart set the record directly in the scene in question.
For those who want a reminder but don’t want to relive the moment streaming with a Max subscription, Cheese kicked the dog and sent it running backwards when it no longer wanted it. People at X and other platforms weren’t happy, but rest assured, Mark Stobbart and the dog seemed like very productive friends when the cameras weren’t rolling, judging by this photo on Instagram:

As the actor stated, this poor little dog was not harmed during the filming of the horrible Dragon House scene. This incident in the episode was just one component of the gruesome Blood and Cheese series that ended with the death of Prince Jaehaerys. Fortunately, this little dog at least took a position off-screen, and legislation is in a position to protect young people and animals while filming on set.
Perhaps this is not good news for book enthusiasts.
Of course, the episode’s occasions will undoubtedly have a huge effect on how the rest of House of the Dragon season 2 unfolds. Aegon will undoubtedly need revenge for his son’s death, and will possibly be encouraged to take more competitive action against it. Rhaenyra or Daemon. Si the move of exchanging “a son for a son” may seem fair to Daemon, it’s clear that the new ruler of Westeros probably doesn’t see it that way. There are only a limited number of Targaryens in the Circle of Relatives tree.
Fortunately, critics’ reaction to the second season of House of the Dragon was positive, and in particular they highlighted the action and increased pacing as top marks. Sure, there’s possibly the unpleasant dog-kicking scene that audiences have to deal with, but anyone who had trouble with Season 1 jumping between timelines and occasions will be pleased to know that there will be fewer of them in the upcoming adventures.
If you don’t know how to watch House of The Dragon and stream it, now is the time. This is one of the many wonderful displays of 2024 TV programming that audiences shouldn’t miss, so be sure to watch and watch it. What else happens as we move deeper into the summer months?
