It’s been almost two years since Mark Wahlberg moved his family to Las Vegas, but also his entire business empire. She’s not the first celebrity to do this, nor is she the last. Former Superman Dean Cain followed in his footsteps and other stars have also joined this trend since then. Right now, the Family Plan actor is making plans to set up a giant movie base near Las Vegas. Now, after her circle’s recent visit to Hollywood, Wahlberg wondered if she would ever return to Los Angeles.
The Deepwater Horizon actor has been busy in Hollywood lately and has three films set to be released as part of the 2024 film schedule. His commute on those days is a bit longer now that he lives in another state, though it depends on the quality of daily traffic in Los Angeles. Despite this, he and his family circle took the holidays to attend the premiere of La Unión, a Netflix success. While promoting his romantic comedy outfit with Halle Berry, the Uncharted actor spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about whether his family would ever return to Los Angeles. Compared to his comments beyond leaving Hollywood for Las Vegas, the star’s most recent reaction was a little different this time around:
I mean, I have to tell you that I miss it right now, the state here. I still miss him. I enjoyed it [here]. But in raising developing teens, I sought to make sure that they were located, first and foremost, in a good, safe, and healthy environment where they could thrive, pursue their interests and goals, and pursue what they wanted to do in life. . . Maybe we’ll come back.
It turns out that Mark Wahlberg has been immersed in nostalgia for a while. Hollywood magic is a hard force, that’s for sure. But even though he misses the California sun, he still thinks the decision to put down roots for his family in Las Vegas was the right one. The Ted actor has been, first and foremost, a family man, and he goes on to point out that Las Vegas has been a better environment to raise his children. And his eternal help extends to his siblings as well, as he congratulated his brother Donnie when it was proven that his long-running crime drama, Blue Bloods, would end on CBS.
Speaking of family, given the move, it’s been a while since enthusiasts noticed the Marky-Mark offspring in combination. Of course, that changed when Wahlberg’s extended family was photographed in combination at the Union premiere, unless his oldest daughter was in college. Can you do that? The Father Stu actor now has grown children! I’m not sure I can believe that Wahlberg is up for the role of grandfather just yet, but based on feedback he’s given, he’s up for the challenge.
The Departed alum says the family thrives in Las Vegas, and after saying he’d like to work closer to home, he announced a plan to build a $1. 8 billion movie studio in the suburbs. And, in fact, he has many other matters on his hands, between film production, Wahlburgers, his tequila logo and his clothing line, Municipal. Plus, since the Daddy’s Home star obviously needs to focus more on her circle of family, it’s no surprise that she’s considering retiring from acting soon. Whatever happens in his career, I just hope that the actor and his loved ones continue to do well, whether they return to Los Angeles or not.
Today, Mark Wahlberg continues to produce action-packed movies. His next film, Flight Risk (directed by Mel Gibson), will be released on October 18. We will have to wait and see if it manages to earn a place among Wahlberg’s most productive films.
