Alfre Woodard has an appointment with Patrisse Cullors on July 29.
The veteran actress and manufacturer will enroll in the co-founder of Black Lives Matter for a verbal exchange with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation at 1 p.m. PST on the organization’s YouTube channel. Viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions during the verbal exchange, which will be recorded and archived in the VIDEO gallery of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
Using the story of Woodard’s recent film on pardon and executions on death row as a starting point, the two talk about race, unscrupulous justice and incarceration, talking about concrete steps that can be taken to promote racial justice in the United States.
The cat’s news follows Neon’s announcement that it will provide Clemency’s live stream until July 31. Directed through Chinonye Chukwu, Woodard plays alongside Aldis Hodge, Richard Schiff, Wendell Pierce, Richard Gunn and Danielle Brooks. The story follows the character of Woodard, a criminal warden, as he prepares to execute another inmate. In doing so, he will have to face the mental and emotional demons created through his work, and in the end he will connect her to the guy who is allowed to kill.
