Alien: Romulus brings terror and new popcorn buckets to the movies

In 1979, moviegoers immersed themselves in true horror with Ridley Scott’s Alien. This sci-fi horror film follows the crew of the Nostromo advertising ship as they encounter a fatal alien. After investigating a sign of misery on a remote moon, the team recovers a hostile alien lifeform after encountering an alien ship. This was the first arrival of the Xenomorph, which began to stalk and kill the team members one by one. Now space horrors are returning to their gruesome roots with director Fede Alvarez with Alien: Romulus, set after the events of the first film and before the sequel Aliens. The new film hits theaters this weekend and many collectibles and film products will arrive for the event.

In fact, the popcorn game has progressed in recent years, providing some truly amazing and intricate popcorn buckets and cups to collect. We’ve noticed this recently with Deadpool

The Xenomorph and Facehugger are the highlights here, with an Alien head that can hold your buttery treats and the Facehugger container that lights up the props with one of those scary Facehuggers on the side. They also have fun souvenir mugs with fun collectible decorations.

AMC gets artsy here by turning a regular bucket of popcorn into your worst nightmare with a huge Facehugger stuck on the side that will constantly make you nervous.

Who wouldn’t need to eat an Alien: Romulus themed menu and get a set of collectible glasses and pins while doing it? Featured pieces include Escape Hatch Queso, Facehugger Fries, Xenoburger, and two alcoholic beverages themed with Acid Blood and Zero Gravity Shake.

Finally, Alien: Romulus enthusiasts who find themselves in a Cinemark theater can get their hands on two items, starting with a 16 oz. mug of green slime animated via alien blood. If that wasn’t enough, the huge xenomorph-headed popcorn bucket with a grumpy demeanor features a grip and a hatch at the top to hold the treat you want.

Don’t watch Alien: Romulus in theaters on August 16, with preview screenings on August 15. In space, no one can hear you eating popcorn.
