AMC cinemas are reopening after being closed for months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The world’s largest film theater chain, which originally planned to begin the reopening procedure last month, is about to reopen more than a hundred movie theaters in the United States on August 20, the company said on a Thursday, according to CNN.
In a nod to the company’s centenary, during a dayArray they will also offer “films in 2020 worth 1920”, with tickets at 15 cents according to what was agreed with the son!
Although the deal lasts one day, AMC will bring back a number of beloved films, such as Grease, Black Panther and Back to the Future, with tickets costing $5. The company will also offer discounts on concessions until October.
While many new films have been postponed in recent months due to the fitness crisis, AMC is recently on the verge of Disney’s New Mutants on August 28 and Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated Tenet on September 3.

AMC, which closed in March, originally planned to reopen 450 of its 600 locations on July 15, before deciding to extend the date.
The channel’s announcement came shortly after Regal Cinemas revealed its goal of reopening theaters on July 10, and the company also delayed its reopening date until August. Like AMC, Regal will also offer $5 tickets for a number of “flashback features”.

In an effort to ensure the protection of viewers and staff, AMC says it will also put in place a number of new security protocols.
New measures include blocking all other rows of seats in some theaters, cleaning and disinfecting credit card machines between transactions, and refusing to settle for money at concession stands.
Although the company said first last month that it would not require visitors to wear a mask in theaters, it temporarily changed its policy.
“As we reopen the cinemas, we will now require all CMA visitors across the country to wear masks when entering and videos into our theaters,” chief executive Adam Aron said in a statement.
Aron went on to state that disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer will be available throughout theaters for guests, as well as masks that moviegoers can purchase for $1 across all locations. Anyone who is unwilling to wear a mask will not be allowed to stay at the theater.
