AMC to reopen Chattanooga cinemas on August 27

AMC Theatres, the nation’s largest film network that has been closed in more than five months, will begin reopening some of its theaters next week and reopen its cinema screens in the Chattanooga domain starting August 27.

AMC Entertainment, the channel’s owner, said Thursday that it plans to open the doors of more than a hundred theaters, about one-sixth of its locations across the country, on August 20 with a return value of 15 cents consistent with the film per day. on the occasion of the company’s centenary.

AMC will begin reopening its cinemas in the Chattanooga domain on August 27. But one of its 8 local theaters, the 10-theater theater on Gunbarrel Road in East Brainerd, will close after 25 years of operation, according to the AMC website.

AMC cinemas have reopened in many foreign countries but have remained closed in the United States since March. The channel has promoted the limited reopening in some theaters next week from the call “Movies in 2020 at the 1920 Awards”.

After several false beginnings due to the accumulation of coronavirus cases in much of the United States, large-scale film distribution is recently expected to resume in late August.

Regal Cinemas, the largest chain of the moment, is scheduled to reopen some venues in the United States on August 21, adding the 8-screen Regal Hamilton Place. Tickets can be purchased for Regal Theater exhibitions starting Friday, August 14.

AMC and the networks said they would operate with a reduced capacity to facilitate social distance, with greater cleaning and masking of theatre.
