If you haven’t heard of it yet, Spellbreak picks up the concept of real war and replaces all weapons with incredibly harsh magic spells. You can choose the type of magician you need to be, then mix elements and spell types to get even more cataclysmic effects. Who wants a SCAR or motorcycle when you can summon a chimney tornado or X-Men-style slide to protect yourself quickly?
Spellbreak’s fighting wizards can also fly, talking about crossing. There’s a giant map to explore, full of ruins and treasures, and everything is rendered with a rather shady mobile flavor reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This makes the game scalable enough and, on launch, will be the cross game between the PC and all existing consoles, adding the Nintendo Switch.
Here’s a preview of the closed beta game:
There is no express release date for Spellbreak yet, but Proletariat says it will be released this year. You can keep up to date with the latest news on Spellbreak’s official website. If you like the look and concept of flying and melting your screen, check out our list of anime games for PC.
