T.’s CEO John Stankey has promised viewers and theaters that “Tenet” will miss its movie theater premiere.

During Thursday’s call for results, Stankey revealed that he enjoyed the option to post videos on HBO Max, but that it would be a street for big-budget videos.

“Do I think there could be things we’ve chartered and built for a movie theater premiere that might migrate to sVOD construction? Of course,” he said. “I think it may happen. Will it take place in a movie like “Tenet” or something like “Wonder Woman?”?” I’d be very surprised if that was the case. In fact, I can guarantee you on Tenet that it won’t. “

Stankey’s commitment to releasing “Tenet” in theaters is not surprising. Director Christopher Nolan is a staunch supporter of movie theaters and has insisted that his most recent film make his theatrical debut.

Monday, Warner Bros. has postponed the long-awaited “Tenet” spy mystery since its debut on August 12 and has still announced a new release date. This is the third time the film has been delayed due to the accumulation of coronavirus cases in the United States.

“Tenet” has long been used as an anchor for cinemas to plan their reopening. When the film moved again, it forced AMC, the largest operator in the United States, to replace the course as well. AMC will now reopen in mid-August instead of the end of July.
