The relaunch of The Batman includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the creation of The Penguin, with Colin observing. Farrell and executive producers Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark and Lauren LeFrance. Craig Zobel, who directed the first three episodes of the series, will also appear in the footage.

Batman earned more than $770 million in its first theatrical release in 2022. The Oz/Farrell Penguin is a prominent character in the film, and HBO has made plans for a spin-off in which Farrell returns to play the character again.

The eight-episode limited series premieres September 19 and will air on Max. The television series leads almost directly into The Batman: Part II, which is scheduled for release in 2026.

In other DC movie news, the next big release is Joker: Folie à Deux, which hits theaters in October with much buzz and excitement as Lady Gaga joins the cast alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
