“Baby Reindeer” has been a phenomenon since its debut on Netflix and is now one of the most-watched shows on the streaming platform. The series centers on bartender and aspiring comedian Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd), who is inadvertently the subject of Martha Scott’s (Jessica Gunning) harassment and obsession after offering her a loose cup of tea out of sympathy. The series is “darker and more disturbing” than its “trailers and marketing” suggest, Erik Kain told Forbes. At its core, the series tackles sensitive topics, adding sexual abuse, victimization, and intellectual health, and its claim to be a true story has caused real-life drama outside of the show.
