As the film slowly comes to life after months, a quartet of new titles appears amid the serious challenge of attracting consumers concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Laura.

Disney’s “X-Men” spin-off, “The New Mutants,” opens at 2,412 North American sites and is expected to take the weekend with a diversity of $7 million to $10 million. The film directed through Josh Boone and stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga as young mutants arrested in a secret facility fighting to save themselves.

The sequel to the UA-Orion comedy “Bill – Ted Face the Music”, starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, will premiere in 1,007 theaters while it is video-on-demand; Searchlight’s comedy-drama “The Personal Story of David Copperfield” will be open on 1,360 screens; and ‘Fatima’, founded in The Faith of Picturehouse, will debut on 215 sites.

The number of films has been minimal since mid-March, with instances limited for several months to the country’s 300 film parks, followed by a slow recovery in states that are beginning to ease restrictions on social estrangement. Moreover, the governments of the states of California and New York – two of the largest film markets – have not yet legalized the reopening of cinemas.

“While New York and Los Angeles are incredibly vital film markets, Unhinged’s robust functionality shows that good fortune is still imaginable in this limited market,” he said. “In fact, when big markets like New York and Los Angeles, however, are open, another seasoning can be done in the box’s workplace for some of the recent top releases while still in their first release in theaters.

Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated sci-fi mystery “Tenet” will premiere on September 3 at the start of Labor Day weekend. Warner Bros. issued strict rules for movie park operators across the country, requiring “Tenet” to be allowed to play in places only if indoor theaters in this specific market are open.
