Brandon’s AMC Theatre Announces Reopening Date

BRANDON, FL – AMC Theatres announced Thursday that more than a hundred of its halls will reopen until August 20, and three hundred theaters will reopen between August 27 and September 3 after months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As an added benefit, the movie network said visitors would pay only 15 cents for the film that day.

The theaters that will reopen will come with Brandon’s The Regency 20, 2496 W Brandon Blvd, which opens on August 20.

AMC said that after the first hundred reopenings, three hundred theaters will open within two weeks with the premieres of Disney’s main films “The New Mutants” on August 28 and Warner Bros. Records. ‘Tenet’ on September 3.

AMC closed all of its cinemas in March and several reopening plans were abandoned amid a coronavirus outbreak in the United States.

“We are excited to reopen our doors to American viewers for the opportunity to leave their homes and apartments and escape the magic of cinema,” Adam Aron, executive director and president of AMC Theatres, said in a statement.

After first noting in June that visitors would not have to wear a mask when theaters reopened, AMC Theaters canceled the policy after an online reaction. All visitors must wear a mask at all times, food and beverages.

The corporation also announced a number of conditioning and protection policies that will be in position in response to coronavirus guidelines, adding fewer touchpoints, simplified menus for shorter lines in concessions, and reduced auditorium capacity for social distance. A complete list of new policies can be found here.

AMC Theatres stated that ticket costs of 15 cents (plus sales taxes) will not be available until August 20 to celebrate the company’s centenary with “Movies in 2020 at the 1920 Awards”. Although available in all available seats, to succeed in a social distance, seating capacity will be particularly reduced, according to the company.

AMC Theatres will also begin implementing a $5 ticket promotion in the coming weeks and months of recoil titles such as the tenth anniversary of “Inception,” “Black Panther,” “Back to the Future,” “Ghostbusters” “Grease”, and “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back”. A number of foods and beverages will also be available.

AMC has 1,000 sites worldwide, with more than 11,000 screens, on its website.
