Yesterday I was browsing my own collection of gaming sites when I found Kotaku’s article “Maybe just delaying the next generation.” While you might think “ah, they only come by clicks,” it’s a smart piece, and the more I think about it, the more I learned that the concept wasn’t the governed value, and the closer we got to the future launch of those systems, the more the postponement of the PS5 and Xbox Series X until 2021 doesn’t seem completely out of the way.
I think it’s vital to go through the wise list we’re on right now, a few days before September, when we assume those consoles will be released in November.
As Kotaku’s article says, game generations start slowly, but this time, the COVID complication has made A) the production of those games much more complicated and more likely delay B) consumers with less cash to disburse. dear consoles and C) prospective production shortage with the pandemic that is causing unrest around the world.
In the end, I don’t think we’re going to be likely to see those consoles behind, even if we’re late to hear the release of their value and release date. For what? Because this is a prisoner’s dilemma.
If the two consoles come out now, they collide as usual. But if either of you are late, you may simply compete later and either would have more room for manoeuvre. But instead, they play chicken, and if, for example, Microsoft delays the X Series, Sony would definitely release the PS5, and vice versa, to get all that money from the first users and make other people worry about their next generation console first. If one is late and the other is not, the one who is late will probably receive a primary hit that he will not need to digest. So neither.
We’re also starting to see rumors about leak dates in mid-November, which everyone had been waiting for from the start.
Possibly I would be and possibly there would be delays. But it turns out that we are too far away in production and distribution for this to happen, despite all the disorders I mentioned, and that no one would have to “start” with such a delay. But yes, expect even more delays in major games until November and hope that much of your next-generation fun will likely be betting next-generation games with higher cadences and loading times for a while.
