Captain America: Brave New World Images at Comic-Con Reveal Wonderful Connection to Eternals and X-Men

Marvel enthusiasts won’t forget that 2021’s Eternals ended with a giant Celestial nearly emerging from Earth and destroying the planet. . . however, that’s not an occasion we’ve heard much about since then in the Cinematic Universe canon. from Marvel. It’s been referenced in the franchise (there’s an Easter egg you can see in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law), but we’ve yet to see a scene in a movie or TV show where the characters directly discuss it. .

Turns out, this is turning out to be Marvel’s next movie, Captain America: Brave New World, which just showed footage at San Diego Comic-Con that not only connects to the emerging Celestial in Eternals. , but also turns that connection into some other teaser for the X-Men’s upcoming arrival in the MCU.

In the wake of the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World that just premiered earlier this month, Marvel Studios delivered a special preview of the film at the company’s Hall H panel, and the large notable curtain component directly implied a tie to Eternals. In the footage, President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford) makes a presentation at the White House to a packed room, and the main topic of discussion is the celestial portions that have protruded from the ocean over the past few years. Array The Commander-in-Chief explains (without calling it Celestial) that this strange phenomenon has been the cause of foreign conflict since its discovery, but that it has led to a clinical breakthrough. More to the point, this led to the discovery of an entirely new piece called Adamantium.

Of course, those of you who know Marvel Comics or at least the X-Men videos know exactly what Adamantium is. Like Vibranium, it is a rare steel that has very special qualities, the most notable being its indestructibility. In the comics, Captain America’s shield is made of protoadamantium (in the MCU, it’s made of vibranium), but its most prominent use is for the skeleton of the super-healing mutant known as James Howlett, aka Logan, aka Wolverine.

Adamantium technically makes its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise in Deadpool

With an exceptional cast including Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Giancarlo Esposito (shown to play Sidewinder), Shira Haas, Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson, the release date for Captain America: Brave New World is now less than six months. the film set will hit the big screens on February 14, 2025. We expect many more exciting updates to come between now and then, so be sure to stay tuned here at CinemaBlend for all the latest movie news.
