Celebrities snap their hands in the advertising crusade to end poverty

The “click” ad asks for donations to save the lives of young people in poverty-stricken spaces around the world.

The Make Poverty History ad also features stars such as Brad Pitt, Bob Geldof, Claudia Schiffer, Davina McCall, Cameron Diaz, Kylie Minogue and Emma Thompson.

The ad shows them snapping their hands one after the other, a click that represents the death of a child in one and both 3 seconds in the Third World.

The ad, created through Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, will air tonight just before 8 p. m. m. on ITV, channels four and five, as well as on various virtual and satellite channels.

The crusade evolved to mobilize large groups to urge the UK and G8 governments to reduce their debt and provide more aid to emerging countries.

The ad will run on television, radio, cinema and print classified ads around the world throughout the year, with millions of pounds of advertising space donated.

The music industry has also joined the crusade with artists such as Keane, Snow Patrol, Futureheads and Spiritualised, dedicating a few minutes of their displays to showing the ‘click’ advertisement on the screens for the public.

The “Let’s Make Poverty History” ad is expected to motivate audiences to sign up for the campaign, email or text the government to help end global poverty and make every concert a “live aid. “

Make Poverty History is an organisation that brings together more than three hundred charities, campaigns, industry unions, faith teams and celebrities who are united in the confidence that 2005 is an opportunity for global change.
