Chim-chiminey! Outdoor cinema arrives at Battersea Power Station

From “Ricardo III” to “RocknRolla” to “Help!” And ‘The Dark Knight’, Battersea Power Station has hosted film crew over the years. So, it’s a proper position to enjoy a movie, an opportunity that Londoners will have at the end of this month when the adjacent coal pier classified as Grade II, no doubt the site of the strange rest of the Fabulous Four in its day, will host a series of outdoor films. Projections.

From August 21 to September 20, in addition to theatrical performances at the Turbine Theatre, Summer Showtime’s film screenings at The Coaling Jetty are conducted through the nearest Archlight Cinema team. “We are excited to work in partnership with Battersea Power Station to host this Summer Showtime’s outdoor film screenings in Coaling Jetty this summer,” said Chris Swney, Archlight’s CEO. “The power plant has appeared in many old films and is a star in its own right, so having it as a backdrop while watching one of the wonderful films on offer is an exclusive experience.”

On the agenda? Classics like “Back to the Future”, “Gladiator” and “Dirty Dancing”, as well as a newer circle of familiar dishes like “Paddington 2” and “Frozen”. Archlight will also travel in your well-stocked snack cart, expanding a variety of local craft beers, wrinkles and cocktails. All Battersea Power Station restaurants have adopted the “Eat Out to Help Out” initiative, which transforms Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays into a kind of cheap cinema and kitchen paradise.

Tickets for movie screenings go on sale on Monday, August 17 at Archlight’s and charge £30 for a space for two or $50 for 4 people. Archlight Film Club members get a 10% discount.

If you like live theater, there are performances of “Horrible Stories”, “Hair” and “The Best of Frankie Valli – The Four Seasons”, all socially estranged, of course. Tickets can be obtained on the Turbine Theatre’s online page. Visit the official Battersea Power Station online page for all newly reopened development data.
