Stars returning to old footage can be a lot of fun for their fans, but not necessarily for the entertainer themselves. Megan Fox’s experience of getting strong-armed into the common press segment is one of those moments. There’s no question that she feels absolutely ick looking back at old carpet interviews of herself for Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and it’s literally peak cringe.
Aside from all of Megan Fox’s existing events, the star sat down with Entertainment Tonight to go over old interviews she’s done. Through her Instagram post, a music video for Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen was selected, and even though it’s not one of Megan Fox’s best movies, she still made her mark on the film.
The New Girl actress had other emotions when she saw herself on the carpet at the premiere of the Disney film in 2004. Before seeing the images, she was visibly afraid of the old moment that awaited her. Immediately, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles alum became upset and said this after watching the interview for the first time:
No, please don’t force me to pay attention to me. What the am I talking about?
Personally, I don’t think it’s that serious. It looks good, especially the early 2000s craze and the audio provided, and it hasn’t said anything embarrassing. However, I perceive where it comes from. If I were confronted with a video of myself from decades ago, I would probably be operating at peak levels of shame as well.
The Expend4bles actress then dove into her appearance, claiming it was awful, saying:
What am I wearing? What is that necklace? Look at my hair and makeup. It’s so bad.
In terms of the early aughts, the 38-year-old looked very fitting for the time, complete with timely hair and makeup, thin brows and accent jewelry. Now, while I still think she looked good, I do get why Fox was cringing at herself. I think it’s natural to do that when we’re confronted with images or videos from when we were younger no matter what they are, so her reaction to this archived interview was very relatable.
Megan Fox then jumped on the fact that the way she speaks hasn’t changed after 21 years. She exclaimed:
I still talk like that which is the scary thing. I don’t sound more mature or womanly at all. Look at my eyebrows. What in Jesus’ name? Where are my eyebrows? How long is this gonna go on? Ugh, kill me. Just kill me. Why are you doing this to me? Just smother me or something.
I can feel the ache in the This is 40 actress’ voice. The toughest critics tend to be ourselves, but from a fan standpoint, Megan Fox shouldn’t dwell too much on this old clip. She’s always been one of the coolest, beloved and outwardly attractive actresses of her generation–her scary sexy robot movie’s success on Netflix over the holidays is a testament to her longevity.
Between the popularity of easement and the snippet shaming, Fox has had quite the eventful year. Late last year, the Jennifer’s Body star and his former wife, Machine Gun Kelly, announced their first pregnancy before separating around Thanksgiving. Now, in the midst of the recent breakup with the Dirt actress, Kourtney Kardashian, she has presented help and care to Fox in her last months of pregnancy. The Transformers actress is expected to be released in March 2025 and has remained relatively silent on the issue, her ex Brian Austin Green, for his part, has denounced MGK’s recent choices.
Whatever happens to Fox, add up the arrival of his baby, I know it will be anything he is embarrassed about. However, in this case I understand why he would shudder when reacting to old interviews, I think that’s what most of us would do when facing ourselves younger.

Seriously, what’s the problem? The closure of Onyx Storm makes me wonder what’s going on with the Fourth Wing series recently.
