Controversy is mounting on social media after Chaya Raichik, the author of “Libs of TikTok,” landed a job with the Oklahoma Department of Education.

? Vote for meme of the month! ?

Chaya Raichik, best known through her TikTok Twitter/X Libs account, has a new job: an advisor to an Oklahoma state library committee.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters enthusiastically shared the news on Twitter yesterday, obviously explaining the ideological reasoning behind this curious selection.

Walters wrote, “No one has done more to reveal what the radical left is than @ChayaRaichik10 and @libsoftiktok. His voice is strong to protect Oklahoma’s youth from school pornography and woke indoctrination. “

Critics have pointed out that Libs of TikTok and Walters himself have been accused of inspiring bomb threats against Oklahoma schools.

In August last year, a Tulsa, Oklahoma elementary school received two bomb threats the day after Libs of TikTok posted a video of the school’s librarian joking she was pushing her “woke agenda” on kids.

In her message, the librarian wrote: “My radical liberal agenda is to teach young people to love books and be kind. ” Walters reposted Libs’ TikTok video attempting to “report” the librarian, saying, “Woke ideology is genuine and I’m here to stop it. At the same time, bomb threats were made at the school.

This came just days after a person in Davis, California, received bomb threats after they were posted on Libs of TikTok.

The infamy of Raichik’s story led many on social media to consider his appointment to a position with the Oklahoma Department of Education alarming. Some Oklahomans weren’t thrilled that Raichik prided himself on inspiring bomb threats.

Raichik doesn’t live in Oklahoma, but in Brooklyn, New York. He is also a real estate agent and does not seem to have any prior experience in education.

As reactions appeared online today, Raichik said that “the collapse of the liberals. . . it’s crazy” in reaction to the reaction.

Others on Twitter/X celebrated the decision, sharing memes and reactions applauding his appointment.

What the hell is going on in Oklahoma these days, anyway? Just in the last week I’ve seen the ‘Send animal control to take away the furries’ bill, the ‘All hispanics are terrorists’ bill, a bill to criminalize all ‘viewing and sharing of sexual images by any unmarried people’ and now whatever this is. Is this really the sort of bullshit Oklahoma republicans think their constituents want them focusing on? Sorta feels like we have bigger problems to deal with.

What a joke about the government of Oklahoma, no wonder it’s so
