The COVID-19 scenario is converting hourly and it can be tricky to keep track of what is happening in the industry. Events

The sector of the occasion was hit hard by COVID-19, especially since countries such as France and parts of the United States banned gigantic concentrations. Productions

Several corporations stopped production in order to work or allow them to paint at home.

Nickelodeon postpones live productions as a precaution and the animation studio has closed to “virtually all staff” and the studio is moving to locations of choice and off-site “as much as possible,” according to a Nickelodeon spokesperson.

Netflix has paused all scripted TV and film production in the US and Canada for two weeks (starting on March 13) due to government restrictions and healthy/safety precautions, Kidscreen confirmed.

Disney is postponing production of existing live action series, pilots and movies, according to a Disney Channel spokesperson. The TV animation studio, on the other hand, will remotely paint on the production and post-production of animated series and films whenever possible. “We will continue to evaluate the scenario and stick to the recommendation of the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control, and local fitness authorities at our production sites,” a Disney Channel spokesperson said.

Cartoon Network has no news on production prevention, but has introduced global public service announcements (pictured) focusing on the importance of smart hygiene to restrict the spread of COVID-19. They will deploy the CN app, cn social networks and YouTube on the air.

The variety also helps maintain a list of all productions that were closed in the old viewing space.

Digital

With all of the cancellations and closures, some events have decided to go digital instead of risking bringing lots of people together at once.

CES is going digital in 2021. From January 6 – 9 the event will run entirely online with ways for exhibitors, customers, thought leaders and media from around the world to connect. Rather than bringing close to 200,000 people to Las Vegas, the event will be digital in 2021 and return in person, in 2022.

The Annecy Festival has postponed the announcement of its official variety (due to be released in the coming days) until April. Short film ads, graduations, tv movies and virtual truth commissions are all postponed. The organizer of the MIFA occasion changes the occasion to an online format.

It’s not just occasions, the distriyetors are all taking action on virtual occasions, adding to TV France which hosts a new market for children’s programs. Sixteen companies have registered so far (none of them is yet named TV France classifies them as “the biggest names in the French audiovisual industry” to provide the most productive programs of their young people. The France TV markets are loose for ScreenKids buyers will allow buyers to view the screenings until May 23 here.

The non-profit Children’s Media Association gives 3 months of loose club to new members and will upload 3 months to the terms of existing members. Meanwhile, the CMA gives loose streaming events, adding a fire-to-fire verbal exchange with Brad Montague and Houston Kraft.

Licensing International and Informa Markets Global Licensing Group meet to launch Licensing Week. The five-day virtual occasion will take place from June 15-19 and will come with virtual lectures, educational seminars, meetings, networking and virtual exhibitions.

The UK bankruptcy of the non-profit organization Women in Toys, Licensing – Entertainment is holding a virtual assembly on June 5 with ToyAid’s global initiative to allow others in the industry to network and chat with others.
