Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic has done coronavirus tests, the Spanish giants have confirmed.
The Bosnian is in “good health” for the La Liga club and is isolated at home.
“Miralem Pjanic tested positive for a PCR on Saturday, August 22 after feeling a little bad. The player is fit and isolated at home,” the club said in a statement.
“The player will therefore not be in Barcelona for 15 days, when he will have to show up for the draws with the FC Barcelona team.”
Pjanic joined Barca after leaving Juventus, italian Serie A champions.
The Bosnian posted a message on Italian on Instagram that read: “Fortunately I’m fine and I’m asymptomatic. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we deserve never to take anything for granted, not even that things are the ultimate routine. The life we’ve been living lately teaches us this. We have to play with regulations and be careful without panicking.
The 30-year-old made a total of 178 matches with Juventus after joining Roma in 2016.
