I’m afraid to take the “Avengers Defender” position before the release here because I have no idea what the ultimate product will look like, but overall I enjoyed my time with the beta version, and I think the game can gain a little, too much hate and too many people who don’t know what it does.
And what is that? Character kits, for one.
I heard other people complain that the game felt too “crushed”, but I think once you point up, unlock more combinations and perceive how other systems interact, you may notice amazing and cool gameplay that feels directly out of the videos sometimes.
Here’s to prove that this is a YouTuber I discovered via reddit called GamebreakerGod, whose specialty turns out to be intelligent Array in sublime fighting in a lot of games from God of War to Ghost of Tsushima until now, Avengers.
Here it shows crazy combinations for Iron Man, which show what the character adjacent to the anthem can do once you perceive its full diversity of powers (and you stay in the brain that this is just a skill tree). In addition, those environments are empty because it is a fighting “test chamber” challenge, a genuine level.
He also made Black Widow, which possesses some of the game’s most elaborate moves, given his grip and focuses on hand-to-hand combat.
So far he hasn’t done Kamala or the Hulk, and maybe the beta version is over before he can shoot something. But he’ll be back down this Friday, so maybe I’ll come back for more. I’ll say the Hulk feels a little more crushed than the others, but I mean, it’s the Hulk. Kamala, meanwhile, offers some of the coolest and toughest combinations of the game. In fact, I’d be curious to see what this guy can do with all thor and Captain America kits with his disposable hammer and shield, respectively.
Once again, I can’t promise that the Avengers will be smart in their ultimate form, and I can already see a number of upheavals popping up. But I enjoyed the fights and those character kits, which I think those heroes are proud of, and yes, I’d love to play with 24 other Marvel heroes over time, if the list of filtered additions ends up being accurate.
The next beta starts on Friday and will be open to everyone on all platforms for the first time. The game itself is a little over two weeks before the release, and turns out to be one of the few major titles that will manage not to be delayed on the calendar in the fall.
