Among other things, 2020 was the year of the cancellation of many occasions of the entertainment industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cancelled festivals, deferred conventions and virtual prizes. The jury still doesn’t know how it’s going to work. But during testing, innovation discovers a way to provide. Many conventions and occasions for fans have become virtual during the pandemic, such as Justice Con or the biggest occasion of the year, SDCC Comic-Con At Home. While other brands have noticed this as an opportunity to create something completely new, such as the recent Funimation Con 2020. Similarly, DC Comics will host its own virtual opportunity for fans, as shown in the new DC Fandome trailer.

DC Fandome is a little different from other virtual fan occasions because it comes from DC Comics, one of the most important brands of comedians, videos, TV series and games. For years, there have been rumors that the two editors of major comedian e-books were launching at the other main conference of the year, SDCC, in favor of their own occasions. Marvel Comics already has a home at the D23 conference, now that they’re part of Disney. But DC Comics has needed SDCC to showcase its newest videos and TV shows.
But that’s the case this year. The DC Fandome trailer offers a glimpse of a unique experience, and I’m completely exhausted! DC Fandome’s official press release promises the presence of almost every DC Comics TV screen or movie at the event. The list includes, but is limited to, The Batman, Justice League Snyder Cut, Superman – Lois, Wonder Woman 1984 and many others.
Given its unprecedented nature, it’s hard to know what to expect from DC Fandome. The official online page lists a type of map of the universe of the occasion, starting in Hall Of Heroes. It looks like they’ll be online portals, and each portal will act like another room or room in a classic conference venue. Other occasion spaces come with DC KidsVerse exclusively with a laugh material for kids, DC YouVerse with content for enthusiasts and cosplay, DC FunVerse for products and various other spaces. It will only be active for 24 hours.

The legendary and highly anticipated Justice League Snyder Cut will premiere in 2021 on HBO Max. Having the chance to launch your Edition of Justice League is a dream come true for Zack Snyder. The Snyder Cut of Justice League will be provided in DC Fandome according to the official press release. During interactions on the social media platform Vero, Snyder showed a few months ago that he was running in the trailer for Snyder Cut. So I wonder if we’ll get a full official preview of Snyder Cut, which reveals some key adjustments to the visual effects or the look of the movie. DC Fandome feels the position for this, given that this is an occasion for fans and enthusiasts were largely guilty of the launch of Snyder Cut.

The pandemic also delayed the premiere of Wonder Woman 1984. However, the film is very complete and pending release. We know that the cast and crew will probably participate in Fandome, but I hope there is more to be done. The next official trailer can also be released in Fandome, with the first official screen of Kristen Wiig’s villain Cheetah. Recently, Patty Jenkins proved that there may also be a third Wonder Woman film, but this will be the last in the franchise. So, would there possibly be an official confirmation about the third film at this event? Only time will tell.

One of the most exciting facets of the DC Fandome trailer comes from The Suicide Squad director James Gunn. Gunn’s for Fandome has been there since day one as he joked with great enthusiasm at the event. Recently, Gunn released business cards for his edition of Suicide Squad, in several languages. In addition to the image, Gunn also promises that enthusiasts can expect to see more of the film in Fandome. I think we’re going to have official posters of the characters in the movie with the new look of the team.

Matt Reeves’ Batman was also the victim of an impediment at the beginning of his production. It is unlikely that there will be new symbols or even advances for DC Fandome. But with a proven presence, we may see some official symbols of the actors in the character, if not their cartoon costumes. With talents like Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz in the film, any official symbol of them in the character will surely excite fans. Perhaps even more screen tests of Robert Pattinson as Batman, similar to the one previously published.

While there are many things we know will probably happen at most in DC Fandome, there are others that seem less likely. But it would be wonderful if DC used this new platform to revive those first blocked projects. For years, the film Flash has been in the hell of progression at Warner Bros., with a revolving door of administrators involved. The latest highest progression is Andy Muschietti’s attachment as director, and theories that Flashpoint’s comedian script is the basis of the film. It would be wonderful to get some kind of confirmation announcement, as well as perhaps other cast members to take advantage of the film’s momentum.
And speaking of movies that take time to start, there’s also Black Adam from The Rock. It seems to have been years ago (it was) when The Rock was announced as the DC Comics antihero. Although the cast is perfect, the film’s lack of progression since then is frustrating. We even had a Shazam! film, of which Black Adam is the villain, without any mention or configuration of this character. Like Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool, The Rock has been defending a Black Adam movie all these years, so let’s hope DC Fandome has an official confirmation of the project.
DC Fandome is a loose one-day occasion for enthusiasts that takes place on August 22.
