Don’t show that anymore

DC FanDome with a sneak peek of Snyder Cut from director Zack Snyder’s 2017 film Justice League.

Kind of like Comic-Con, but only for DC. So not Avengers (it’s Marvel). But if you’re a fan of DC characters like Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman and Aquaman, you need to connect. And this fandom occasion deserves to go far beyond the big names. The August 22 occasion covered everyone from DC, from comics to videos, television screens and video games, and a special occasion on September 12 will do something similar.

Unfortunately, the deal follows reports of mass layoffs in DC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, about a third of the company’s publisher lost its job, as did most of the DC Universe streaming service, as its parent company, Warner Bros., focuses on the recent release of HBO Max.

Here are the highlights of the August 22 event:

Matt Reeves, director of The Batman, shared much more about the film in a fantastic interview and also revealed a preview that looked good, even though the film is only shot at 30% at this time. The Batman stars Robert Pattinson of Twilight, starring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. Although the film is not scheduled to be released until 2021, it has already won a spin-off broadcast at the Gotham Police Department, with Reeves production.

The stars of the Wonder Woman sequel, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, joined director Patty Jenkins to communicate about the film and provide the new preview of Wonder Woman 1984.

The DC Justice League film premiered in 2017, but original director Zack Snyder gave up the edition when his daughter died. Some enthusiasts were disappointed with the finished film that was picked up through Joss Whedon and demanded to see what Snyder would have put in position if he had had the reins. The Snyder Cut is this movie, which will soon hit HBO Max – and the DC FanDome trailer gave a sneak peek of this long-awaited version, which will take position in 4 hours.

Developer Batman: Arkham Origins has revealed his new game, Gotham Knights, a cooperative adventure starring Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood while protecting Gotham City after Batman’s obvious death. They will face an unpleasant organization known as the Owl Court and other members of the Dark Knight’s Rogue Gallery.

The panel revealed Barry Allen’s new costume, which was made through Batman. Director Andy Muschietti and screenwriter Christina Hodson have also shown that the sprinter’s film will see Flash in time to replace the DC Multiverse.

We’ve also gained clues that this opens up the option to revisit old DC movies, with Danny Elfman’s Batman theme in the background. Conceptual art also showed that Flash was associated with Michael Keaton’s edition of the Night Knight: the 1989 Batman logo can be noticed in his costume.

In a separate panel, Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti also said he sought to come with more DC movie characters in long-term television crossovers after Ezra Miller’s Flash met with grant Gustin’s character edition at last year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event.

The conceptual art of The Flash turns out to show him as a team with Michael Keaton’s Batman.

James Gunn has all the characters from his next film, The Suicide Squad. Idris Elba plays in Bloodsport; wrestler and actor John Cena plays Peacekeeper; and Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson plays Blackguard.

He shared a new teaser consisting of movie sequences and behind-the-scenes previews of the film.

The Suicide Squad, on a team of DC villains, is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021. Gunn wrote and directed the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films for Marvel, but enrolled in The Suicide Squad after Marvel briefly fired him for outlandish tweets. Producer Peter Safran said The Suicide Squad is not a direct sequel to the original 2016 film Suicide Squad, but features many returning characters played by the same actors. The similarity of the titles is confusing, however, the moment the film uses “The” in its title.

Want to learn more about The Task Force X action? Rocksteady Studios, the British gaming company created the popular video game series Batman: Arkham, used DC FanDome for a first trailer for the new video game Suicide Squad. You can play in cooperation with up to 4 players when this happens on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC in 2022.

Dwayne Johnson advanced his film Black Adam in development, revealing that in addition to Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, we will see the debut of the Justice Society of America (JSA) in the film. Although no cast has been revealed, the next characters in the film will come with Hawkman, Cyclone and Dr. Fate. You can discover more main points in our dual GameSpot.

Black Adam would possibly not have a release date, however, the film’s logo was revealed by FanDome.

The Aquaman panel provided a glimpse of what is expected of The eventual sequel to Aquaman, and director James Wan noted that the film will be “a little more serious, a little more applicable to the world we live in today.” The film is recently scheduled for a release date in 2022.

Shazam’s FanDome panel revealed the name of the November 4, 2022 sequel: Shazam: Fury of the Gods. The panel also included a prolonged appearance through Sinbad, and it’s hard to tell if he’s part of the film or was just there to pump out the panel’s humor. See the GameSpot policy for more details.

A Sandman adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Netflix was announced last year, and the author gave additional highlights on a panel Saturday. Gaiman showed that the sandman paintings for Netflix are still ongoing and that it will be “a little more flexible, but still faithful” to the books. Gaiman said the pandemic had allowed us to paint more in scripts, as well as further customize the story to accommodate another period.

The Netflix edition of Sandman is now set, which is the 80s and 90s of the original comics.

“What we’re doing with Netflix is saying, ‘Okay, it’s going to start in 1916, but what’s happening in Sandman No. 1, the point where the story begins, 1988, is now.’ Gaiman said. More main points about the Netflix adaptation can be discovered on our sister site GameSpot.

If you want a Sandman solution in the meantime, it was recently adapted for Amazon’s Audible and had a cast.

Titans, the flagship series of the DC Universe streaming service, had its third season DC FanDome provoked, and this time it will go directly to Gotham City, GameSpot reports. The third season of the Titans will see Jason Todd (Curran Walters) become Red Hood after leaving Robin’s identity behind.

The exhibition will also give way to Barbara Gordon, a former Batgirl who is commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, and Dr. Jonathan Crane, also known as Scarecrow. The casting of those last two characters has not been announced.

The Flash TV series is one of many whose last season was tricked with the coronavirus pandemic, but a preview of Arrowverse’s seventh season was released on Saturday. The teaser resumes Season 6, leaving Iris West (Candice Patton) inside in a mirror universe and faced the choice between surviving or going crazy.

More data can be found in our Sister TV Guide, adding to Patton explaining how, when you’re a status for other people, being classified as “difficult” is fine, if that means status for what’s right.

On September 12, DC will offer a virtual moment starting at 10 a.m. PT. It will be called DC Fandome: Explore the Multiverse, and instead of just a panel calendar, enthusiasts can create their own calendar from the variety of panels on demand.
