Does Horror Thriller ‘Wolf Man’ Have A Post-Credits Scene?

Wolf Man, a restart movie with the observed photos of the characters of Wolf Universal -Aferou, is merodeing on the big screen this week. Is there any finish or scene after the key that continues the reign of Monster’s terror?

Universal Pictures, of course, launched a series of mythical monster films in the 1930s, ’40 and 50, turns characters such as Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula, the mummy, Frankenstein’s girlfriend and the creature of the black lagoon in icons of pop culture in the process.

Also among Universal’s classic monster movies was The Wolf Man—starring Lon Chaney Jr. in the title role—which was released in 1941. After that, Chaney’s werewolf character appeared in a handful of follow-up movies, and in 2010 Universal brought the character back for another go-round with the remake of The Wolfman starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins.

The rebooted edition of Wolf Man, however, is director Leigh Whannell’s reimagining of the ancient lycanthrope story and the cursed Lawrence Talbot, played by Chaney and Del Toro, is nowhere to be found.

Unlike the period settings of previous werewolf films, Whannell’s new Wolf Man edition is set in times, as Charlotte (Julia Garner) and Ginger (Matilda Firth), Blake’s (Christopher Abbott) wife and young daughter, fight for their survival. . while transforming into a beast with fangs.

Wolf Man is Universal’s second monster reboot film directed by Whannell, who was the filmmaker of the 2020 hit, the reimagining of The Invisible Man. So while Whannell seems to be the go-to filmmaker for some other Universal Monsters movie, is there any indication in the end or post-credits of the mythical franchise?

Spoiler alert: The next section discusses the end credits of “Wolf Man.”

Generally, the final credits scenes or after the credits have one of two purposes: tie the loose ends of a previous scene of the film or cause the option of a sequel.

However, Wolf Man does not have an end credits or post-credits scene. That’s not to say, however, that Universal Pictures isn’t cooking up more monster movie adventures.

After all, Wolf Man, according to Variety, had a production budget of $25 million before prints and advertising, which is low compared to most primary studio films. Like The Invisible Man, Wolf Man was produced in collaboration with Blumhouse through Jason Blum, a horror film company that focuses on making horror films on a modest budget.

Of course, there will be obstacles of intrigue that will have to be legal for Wolf’s movie, however, as Lon Chaney Jr. proved it in his films as Wolf Man, anything is possible when it comes to keeping a deductible alive.

Since Wolf Man is a genre film rooted in the glory of Universal Pictures’ monster movie, there’s a chance for more.

Chaney, remember, later reprised Lawrence Talbot/the Werewolf in Universal Monsters classics such as Frankenstein vs. The Wolf Man, The House of Frankenstein, The House of Dracula and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, where the character gave the impression of sides of the character. like Frankenstein’s monster and Count Dracula.

That’s not to say that Universal is trying to resurrect its Dark Universe concept, a concept that began and ended with Tom Cruise’s big-budget Monster The Mummy in 2017, which would have featured a not-unusual universe of monsters like those of ancient times.

However, if the studio tries this route, keeping Blumhouse concerned would be a judicious resolution to long-term movie budgets.

Rated R, Wolf Man opens Friday in theaters nationwide.
