Dolly Parton’s ‘Rockstar’ Movie Hits All Three Knoxville Theaters

It leaves out Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Dolly Parton arrives at the movies.

Fans can get a special first look at Parton’s upcoming “Rockstar” at 3 Knoxville theaters.

Theaters around the world will offer “Rockstar: The Global First Listen Event” on Nov. 15. The cinematic screening includes music videos of the album’s songs, behind-the-scenes moments, rare performances of “9 to 5” and the song. “Circle of Love” and an exclusive interview with Parton.

“I am excited to know that my fans around the world will be able to come together and be the first to hear a sneak peek of my Rockstar album,” Parton said in a news release. “I am so proud of this music, and I am humbled by all the wonderful artists who joined me. I cannot wait for people to hear it!”

Tickets can be purchased at dollyrockstarevent. com. Tickets are $14. 22 at Regal Places at 7:15 p. m. showtime, at ticketing sites. Tickets are $13. 72 at the Tinseltown location at 7 p. m. Show the time.

“Rockstar,” Parton’s debut rock album, released Nov. 17, includes old rock anthems such as “Stairway to Heaven,” “Heartbreaker,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Let It Be” and “Purple. “Rain. “”

In an interview with Knox News in September, Parton talked about going into full-blown rock star mode for the album. “I’ve learned a lot about myself and I’ve worked on it. I was listening to all of that and wondering if I might get to that note,” Parton told Knox News.

“I thought, well, I’ll overlook it. If it’s going well, great. And if it doesn’t, I’ll say, ‘Delete it right now!'” said Parton with a laugh. “But I yelled at him. I mean, I hit him. That’s what I was given over. “

Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Sheryl Crow, Elton John, and Stevie Nicks are just a few of the many musicians featured on the 30-track album.
