The cinema at Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall has been “permanently closed”, Khaleej Times has learnt.
A resident who on Friday in the mall detected massive symptoms that covered what she remembered as the movie section.
“I wondered why it was closed. It was our favourite cinema because there were fewer people than in other cinemas and all the films that my son liked were screened there,” said the expat who lives in Al Ghadeer.

An official at the Nakheel call center, which runs the Ibn Battuta grocery shopping center, said the mall’s Novo cinemas had been “permanently closed since July 31. “
However, it remains to be seen if any other cinema chain will take over. The call center said they had no further information about the closure.
A quick Google search returned a message of “permanent closure” of the Novo cinemas in the Ibn Battuta shopping centre. Additionally, the mall is no longer listed as the cinema chain’s locations on its official website.
This movie theater is popular among citizens of the communities of South Dubai, Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali and Al Furjan.
