In an effort to create a ‘total power’, Dunlop needed to expand new technologies for its new FX racket series. For the creation of a new total diversity of rackets (Dunlop will offer five frames from the series), the racket manufacturer has designed a new frame geometry and developed a new resin, while other technologies in the past brought Dunlop rackets that were new for tennis.
“The FX series evolved to create a racket with maximum power, which allows players to swing with all their power,” says Florian Straehle, product manager at Dunlop Junior. “The rackets give players, in addition to power, more touch, more sensations and more comfort.”
Dunlop features the geometry of the Power Boost Groove frame, an aerodynamic head with a sharp shank and wider throat to create more stability and also a larger sweet spot, resulting in more strength. Tests at the Dunlop Srixon Kobe Engineering Laboratory in Japan show that a 4.8% increase in rebound ownership has an effect on problems compared to the same grooveless rackets, which offer more strength and consistency in the stringing.
The groove is designed in the frame under the carnation band, allowing the carnation to more deformation and more strings of movement, leading to a greater ideal point of strength and comfort, says Straehle. For greater force distribution, the FX series includes the CX Series Power Grid String Tech, a trend designed with denser strings in the middle and wider in the more sensitive part of the racket for uniform force distribution, especially above the racket. Racket. “A larger candy point allows the player to play more confidently, especially on off-center hits,” Straehle says, further accentuating the benefits of groove design.
The FX Series introduces Flex Touch resin, a new material with a thermoplastic elastomer compound for high elasticity and vibration dampening properties. The resin is designed to increase touch and feel in the power-happy design. “The Flex Touch resin is a high-performance elastomer compound in the inside of the shaft area, due to the high elasticity, rebound and vibration dampening properties of the material, the negative vibrations will be filtered out and to the players will be provided an increased level of touch and feel without missing the ultimate power the FX Series provides to the players,” Straehle says. The Flex Touch resin is a new material and Dunlop is the first company to use it in tennis.
The use of Flex Touch resin did not prevent Dunlop from incorporating Sonic Core with the Infinergy generation, an expanded thermoplastic polyurethane created through BASF. The same curtains created through BASF as the Boost cushioning generation discovered in Adidas shoes, the tennis edition made the first impression in Dunlop’s CX series to help reduce vibrations and shocks. Return to zones 2 and 10 hours of FX frames.

The release of the FX series continues with the launch of the control-focused CX series and the turn-centric SX series, completing Dunlop’s redesign of its executive functionality franchises and converting the executive call under the brand’s Elements of the Game concept designed for the consumer. understand the key functionality benefits of each series.
The new FX series includes the FX 500 Tour with a 98 square inch head and a heavier weight of 10.8 ounces, while the FX 500, FX 500 LS and FX 500 Lite have head lengths of 100 square inches and weights between 9.5 and 10.6 ounces. The FX 700 has a 107 square inch head. All frames have a 16×19 string pattern. Price diversity from $180 to $200.
