If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of HBO’s hit drama “Euphoria” by 2025. . . You may need to have more patience than you expect.
Because although the series was scheduled to begin filming its third season in May, this assignment would have been abandoned. The reason? When you return, you may not take any place in the best school.

According to The Wrap, which spoke to multiple sources, the delay is winding down because Euphoria creator and showrunner Sam Levinson has said (probably cleverly, given the age of his cast) that the new season deserves to cast the characters. beyond the best school.
While the second season didn’t end with the beginning (instead, a school play took place and a shooting left at least one character dead), the new season will focus on the protagonists’ lives after school.
And this will replace the new script work and more time for development. Hence the delay.
Here’s what one user told the ad site:
“No one has ever lost faith in Sam as a creator. He is the artistic driving force behind this series, he still works with the same artistic administrators as always, but as the presentation changes, this procedure takes more time.

Despite its stellar success, the series has not been without problems, especially in the face of the pandemic, the filming of its first season and moving forward after the second. In fact, Levinson was writing the third season when the writers’ strike began last year.
Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat’s character, announced that she would not be returning for the new season, and Angus Cloud, whose character Fez was arrested at the end of Season 2, tragically passed away last year.
Levinson also co-wrote and produced “The Idol” for HBO, which last year garnered scathing reviews and was canceled after one season.

The cable channel has only issued an official statement:
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to delivering an extraordinary third season. In the meantime, we’re allowing our high-demand players to pursue other opportunities.
Which means that the stars of the series, along with Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, who have big names in cinema since the beginning of the series, will likely return to screens sooner than expected. Quick: Someone convinces Denis Villeneuve to shoot “Dune: Messiah” while he gets the chance!
Reportedly, HBO is still aiming for that comeback in 2025, likely towards the end of the year.
