The actress directs the new preview of Miranda’s most recent film, Kajillionaire, as Old Dolio, the daughter of thieves Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins), who spent 26 years educating her offspring to scam, defraud and borrow every turn. But, randomly designed paintings seduce a specific stranger (Gina Rodriguez) to sign up for his robbery with unforeseen chaotic results.
Kajillionaire marks the first July feature film since The Future in 2011, recently setting up an independent social media-based film called Jopie, which was made almost entirely from video presentations provided through his enthusiasts (including a scene with EW student Mettie Ostrowski).
Julio preceded Wednesday’s trailer by uploading the clip to a virtual account and asking his numerous social media outlets to share the percentage of the post natively on their own profiles.
Focus Features will arrive in Kajillionaire in theaters on 18 September. Look at the new trailer above.
