This past weekend, we welcomed dozens upon dozens of new movies to each of our favorite streaming apps: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO Max.
But that was only the beginning. Throughout August, even more movies will flood those streaming platforms. And this week in particular will see ten new movies added to those four services.

Plot summary: Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure yet—high school. Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a lost Incan civilization.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold stars Isabela Moner. Eugenio Derbez. Michael Peña. Eva Longoria and Danny Trejo. The film was directed by James Bobin.

Plot summary: Low-level criminals Kyle and Swin have never met the Arkansas drug kingpin who rules their lives, but a series of mistakes puts them on a deadly collision course straight to him.
Arkansas stars Liam Hemsworth, Clark Duke, Michael Kenneth Williams, Vivica A. Fox, Eden Brolin, Chandler Duke, John Malkovich and Vince Vaughn. The film was directed by Clark Duke.
Arkansas will be available to stream on Amazon Prime on August 5.
Plot summary: After running away from a residential nursing home to pursue his dream of becoming a pro wrestler, a man who has Down syndrome befriends an outlaw who becomes his coach and ally.
The Peanut Butter Falcon stars Shia LaBeouf, Zack Gottsagen, Dakota Johnson, John Hawkes, Bruce Dern, Jon Bernthal and Thomas Haden Church. The film was directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz.

Plot summary: It influences elections and sways outcomes-gerrymandering has become a hot-button political topic and symbol for everything broken about the American electoral process. But there are those on the front lines fighting to change the system.
Slay the Dragon is a documentary directed by Christopher Durrance and Barak Goodman.
Slay the Dragon will be available to stream on Hulu on August 6.
Plot summary: The Swamp provides a look behind the curtain of Washington politics by following three renegade Republican Congressmen — Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Ken Buck (R-CO) — over the course of a pivotal year in politics as they champion President Trump’s call to “drain the swamp.”
The Swamp is a documentary directed by Daniel DiMauro and Morgan Pehme.

Plot summary: An immigrant worker falls into a vat of pickles and is brined for 100 years. The brine preserves him perfectly, and when he emerges in present day Brooklyn, he finds that he hasn’t aged a day.
