Thousands of Facebook users share a long text supposedly written through actor Tim Allen, supporting Donald Trump. The viral post, which makes a series of conservative statements that do not fall within the scope of this review, was wrongly attributed to the actor after a user of the same call accentuated the text on Facebook.
Some iterations of the lengthy quote begin: “Here are some interesting points to think about prior to 2020, especially to my friends on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians and Independents and the never Trump Republicans and those thinking of “walking away” from the Democratic party.”

Allen’s manager told Reuters by email that the quote from the articles “comes from my consumer Tim Allen.”
The first text iteration similar to the claims Reuters would possibly have discovered was on a local news site dated June 18, 2019, attributed to a stranger (here).

The attribution error would likely have arisen after a user via Tim Allen’s call posted the text on Facebook here on August 25, 2019. Fact Checker Snopes demystified the claim in September 2019 and also traced the source of that user’s publication attribution error here. .
In 2016, Home Improvements actor Tim Allen subsidized former Republican presidential candidate John Kasich and lent his voice to a political announcement to publicize it (here).
