Fall Guy star Emily Blunt and director to make ‘many’ sequels: ‘I Lethal Weapons Numbers’

The Fall Guy has rarely come to light yet, but the team behind the upcoming action movie is already chasing into the future. Loosely based on the ’80s TV show of the same name, it celebrated the paintings of stuntmen, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The main roles here were played by none other than David Leitch from Bullet Train, who is indeed the best guy for the job, given that he was a stuntman in the past.

In fact, he knows his action videos and searches for a particular franchise for inspiration of what The Fall Guy could become. While it probably won’t hit our screens until May, Leitch expects not one but several sequels to be ordered.

He tells Total Film in our new issue on Thursday, March 28, which features the new actor on the cover, that: “I know I need to work with those characters for several films. I love those other people so much, and I also love those characters. . . If I could paint with this crew and those actors in this world that Kelly [McCormick, wife and producing partner] and I know so well, yes, that would be great. I hope other people need more. “

Now, given that Lethal Weapon has lasted three seasons of a TV show and four movies, and a fifth is reported to be in the works, Leitch is obviously aiming high.

It’s something its actors are completely okay with, as Blunt also admits that he expects the film to have “many” sequels on the horizon. However, he notes that at the end of the day, it all comes down to whether the audience needs more: “We’ll have to see if other people like it, you know?I’d do a lot of Fall Guys if I could. It’s too much fun. “

The Fall Guy hits UK cinemas on May 2 before hitting US cinemas. U. S. Highway Patrol on May 3. And you can read more about this and more in Total Film’s new factor when it hits virtual shelves and newsstands on Thursday, March 28.
