Stranger Things fans were a little frustrated when it was revealed that the creators of the series were releasing a new horror series.
Stranger Things was a smashing hit when it hit screens in 2016, with upcoming seasons released in 2017, 2019, and 2022, and this week, after all, enthusiasts got to see the definitive series for the first time.
Starring Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, David Harbour, and a host of other stars, the series is set in the ’80s and takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.
Centered on the disappearance of a schoolboy dragged into the Upside Down, a parallel universe populated by monsters, the series has evolved over the years and expanded its audience that was obsessed with this complex story.
Due to the show’s popularity, it might be simple to think that enthusiasts would be thrilled to have the creators of this beloved series create series, but that’s not the case at all.
When it was announced that the Duffer Brothers would be creating a new horror series called Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, many were quick to express their frustration.
On Reddit, enthusiasts said they’d like creators to focus on the conclusion of Stranger Things before running other projects, due to the long timelines between series.
“Oh my God, I’ve already finished some weirder things than actors are in college,” said Discucion99.
“Can we focus more on ongoing paintings than long-term projects?” he said Rhode_Rage agreed.

Another fan, QwaQuaD, commented on X: “I love those artistic geniuses but damn, as a viewer of their product, waiting several years between seasons IS KILLING me. I would literally lose interest in anything else if I waited that long lol.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things will be released in 2025, 3 years after the fourth season released in 2022.
The series began with a period of only one year between seasons one and two, which increases to two years between seasons two and 3. Fans have waited 3 years between seasons 3 and 4 and will make the same 3-year wait between seasons 4 and five. .
While the lead actors joined the series about a decade ago, many now play characters who pretend to be much younger than they are in real life.
As one commenter noted, Millie Bobby Brown’s character El was 15 years old in season four, but Milie was 18 in that role. As of today, in 2024, Millie is 20 years old and recently married to Jake Bonjiovi, a long time ago. of his teenage character on the show.
The date shown for the fifth season of Stranger Things has not yet been announced and the same can be said for the new task Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.
