DeSantis commented at a roundtable with theme park leaders in Orlando, applauding his fitness and protection measures and saying that parks were not hot spots for the spread of the coronavirus.
He also said he thinks “many” more visitors would be willing to visit the parks if capacity regulations were relaxed.
“We believe capacity can be increased,” DeSantis said. “When you have the protocols in place, you know, we’re very state-level.”

Major theme parks in Florida, Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are operating at reduced capacity after they reopen after the coronaviruses close. Visitors to Disney World Park, for example, want a reservation to enter the theme park and reach others without one.

The sunshine state experienced a primary increase in coronavirus instances from June to July, as did other states that reopened early businesses, such as Arizona and Texas. However, there have been fewer cases and deaths following the implementation of local restrictions to prevent it in some parts of the state.
