Forbes Celebrity 100: Netflix paid top players $50 million in years

Netflix has paid $540 million to the most profitable players since 2016, surpassing the cash paid by the Disney, Marvel, Apple and Amazon competition, according to Forbes’ 2020 celebrity list of 100.

In the year alone, Netflix, Apple and Amazon have paid the stars on the list $300 million, and Netflix accounts for two-thirds of that payout.

Netflix, Apple and Amazon have salary commitments of more than $100 million for next year’s list as the TV and movie streaming industry continues to thrive.

Among Netflix’s most popular systems to date in 2020 are Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, which has spent a record 27 consecutive days on the top sensible of the Forbes popularity rating system.

Tiger King is followed by Ozark, Outer Banks, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and shows Love is Blind in popularity.

Overall, the world’s highest-paid celebrities earned $6.1 billion before taxes and fees from June 2019 to May 2020, two hundred million less than in 2019.

This year’s list of the most productive actors includes only two women: Sofia Vergara, who ranks 71st on the list and earned part of her revenue source through sponsorships and licensing, and Angelina Jolie, who ranks 99th on the list.

On this year’s list of 100 Forbs celebrities, the actors earned far more than women, earning $545.5 million and actresses who pocketed $78.5 million.

That’s a drop since 2019, when the highest-paid actresses made $99 million together.In 2016, actresses raised $122 million.
