Former Newstalk CEO to lead Limerick’s world-renowned Troy studios

A former CEO of Newstalk and an experienced median will take the reins of Troy Studios in Limerick and the world-famous Ardmore Studios this fall.

Elaine Geraghty, who is the current CEO of Screen Producers Ireland, has held executive positions at Communicorp Group, The Sunday Times, 98FM, and was guilty of turning Newstalk into a local Dublin station into a major national broadcaster.

He has more than 30 years in the audiovisual sector.

Joe Devine, president of Ardmore Studios and Troy Studios, said: “Elaine brings a wealth of sense of control of media and business to her new role at an exciting time in the history of a global burst of calls to audiovisual content creation. It is very best for our studies because it understands the exclusive operation of the sector and has the mandatory skills for our company. Raghallaigh will continue to be CEO of any of the studios and will oversee, manage and complete our expansion at Ardmore.

In the 3-year-old area, Troy Studios has a world-renowned studio and Ireland’s largest studio under one roof. It is home to foreign productions where the fair caliber of amenities has helped further consolidate Ireland on the map of foreign production sites.

Ardmore Studios is embarking on a primary investment program that will particularly increase the capacity of its studios and offer the highest point of scenarios and sound buildings to compete with the world’s most productive.

The plan is to supply 3 new sound scenes to facilitate growing foreign demand for high-quality sound level spaces. Once completed, Ardmore Studios will feature over 140,000 square feet of sound levels and about 120,000 square feet of buildings on its Bray site.

The redevelopment strategy will particularly affect the infrastructure of existing studios, ensuring that studies continue to attract high-quality domestic and foreign productions in the future.
