Fortnite has kicked off its Doctor Doom season, aligned with Robert Downey Jr. ‘s recent progression in the MCU role. For now, despite the timing, it doesn’t seem to be connected, but it’s just the beginning.
Fortnite players have discovered something quite disturbing about Doom’s Castle, a collection of “trophies” that means Doom has killed or imprisoned Marvel heroes and villains. The full list is impressive, but we know that Doom can occasionally be one of the fiercest villains. in the Marvel Universe.
Here’s what we know so far:

There’s also a dead Galactus in the water, it’s not one hundred percent transparent if it was Doom’s doing this time.
The implication of some of them is that we’re most likely seeing those skins coming to the game, namely the Fantastic Four who have yet to be added to Fortnite, despite dozens of other Marvel heroes and two versions of himself. Doom. I’ve already seen skins for Magneto, Silver Surfer, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, and of course Thanos, who was the main villain in a past Marvel season. So, outside of the Fantastic Four, there’s Ultron, who could also arrive this season, and Namor. I wonder if Ultron can maybe be resurrected and show up for a villain vs. villain fight.
I don’t know if there will be some sort of “back to life” concept here to at least revive the Fantastic Four. Perhaps Doom brought those trophies from some other universe and the existing ones are still alive. Fortnite stories are always. . . a bit complicated to analyze. This one already looks compelling, and it’s a clever way to get Doom out there before it enters the MCU, and it’s more vital than his last appearance, to be sure.

The season has just begun, but we are undoubtedly heading towards some sort of decisive war ahead. For now, you can fight Doom on the map and defeat him that way, but it’s not a “story” development. We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks and months.
